Smart on Crime in Waterloo Region

Priority Directions

Overview

Don’t be alarmed if you don’t see a milestone listed under the last years of this plan – that doesn’t mean we’re not doing anything.

The activities and milestones you find within each Priority Direction are to serve as a ‘living document’ for the period of 2010 – 2014. Areas of work and  milestones will be developed over the course of each year based on learning, outcomes and evaluation of the previous year. New milestone will be developed in anticipation of, or in response to emerging issues within our community and the wider field of crime prevention.

We are commited to monitoring and evaluating the work we do. We are in the process of creating an evaluation framework that will highlight what works and what doesn't work for smart approaches to crime prevention.
